Osaka European Film Festival |  14 01

Industry News

Dear friends,

The 15th edition of the Osaka European Film Festival came to an end a few weeks ago.

One of the very few independent film festivals outside of Europe to be fully dedicated to the promotion of European cinema, the OEFF once again confirmed its position as the major European film event in Asia.

A unique opportunity to benefit from an exceptional exposure on Japanese and Asian markets, the OEFF has now opened its call for entry 2009, in preparation of its 16th edition planned for Nov. 2009.

We kindly invite you to consult our submission guidelines and hope to have the pleasure of presenting one of your films here in Osaka at the end of the year !

As you may already know, Mr. Maurice Jarre was with us in Osaka last November as 15th OEFF Honorary Chairman, and attended an exceptional screening of Lawrence of Arabia in commemoration of Sir David Lean centenary.

We are delighted to learn that Mr. Jarre will also be awarded the Honorary Golden Bear for his lifetime achievement by the Berlinale on February 12 2009, and that Lawrence will also be screened for the occasion.

Congratulation, Maurice !

Note that I will also be attending the Berlinale myself this year, together with my colleague Sebastien Bonidan.

Do not hesitate to contact us to set up a meeting, by email at office@oeff.jp, or directly on our mobile (+33-6-3712-5869) during the Berlinale.

Wishing you all the best for the year to come,
With our warmest regards,

Patrice Boiteau
Chairman
Executive Producer
